January 23, 2023 — Dr. Joseph Klink has joined Lee Physician Group Urology to create and lead its urologic oncology department.

Lee Health has expanded its service lines to include comprehensive urologic oncologic care. The community will have immediate access to all aspects of urologic oncology care and will not need to travel to receive treatments, surgery, and follow-up care.

Dr. Klink brings extensive experience in urologic oncology and cares for all stages of cancer, from diagnosis through early treatments and advanced cancers.

He previously spent the past nine years as the director of urologic oncology and robotics at Deaconess Health System in Evansville, Indiana, and has completed more than 1,000 robotic surgeries.

“Dr. Klink has extensive experience with a track record of providing high-quality care. We are excited to establish our urologic oncology center here in Southwest Florida so residents can receive high-quality, specialized care in their community,” said Kris Fay, Lee Health’s chief officer of community-based care. “Traveling hours for check-ups, surgery, and treatments several times a week or month can take a toll on patients and their families. Now, they will know that specialized care is available close to home.”

Dr. Klink graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center and fellowship in urologic oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urologic and Kidney Institute. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urologic Association and American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Klink will practice at Lee Health’s LPG Urology Practice, 12561 Whitehall Dr., Fort Myers.
