The Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, recently hosted the 14th Annual Run for the Ribbons. Attracting over 800 participants, the event raised over $70,000 to support cancer patients through special programs made possible by the hospital’s League of Ribbons.

“Participating in Run for the Ribbons is about more than just physical activity – it’s about coming together as a community to give back and support patients battling cancer,” said Dr. Louise Morrell, medical oncologist and medical director of Lynn Cancer Institute. “The resources generated through these efforts help us provide not only advanced treatment options for patients, but also the emotional and psychological support that cancer patients need throughout their journey.”

On-site at the event, attendees of all ages participated in a 5K run/1 mile walk, followed by the annual World Cancer Day Celebration for survivors and their families. Proceeds from Run for the Ribbons directly benefit the League of Ribbons. The League of Ribbons funds critical cancer services, as well as providing patients with complimentary health and wellness programs and guided imagery, yoga and massage therapy, gifts cards for groceries and gas, and more.
