To further enhance its mission to provide health and wellness initiatives to members, the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches has established an exclusive and robust partnership with Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) at its Palm Beach Gardens campus. The partnership focuses on creating a highly individualized health, wellness and fitness programs.
As part of the program, the Mandel JCC now has on-site a full-time JMC health expert available to provide a variety of screenings for children and adults. Referred to as the Health & Wellness Navigator, Tiffany Jones is also expanding the community center’s fitness classes and offerings, and ultimately helping members “navigate” toward a more active and healthier lifestyle.
The partnership is committed to helping the whole family from children to adults. Jones recently started offering pediatric screenings at the preschool. This not only allows the parents to receive free testing in the school environment, but once they receive the results, therapists will work with the children on campus to address the specific needs of the child including physical therapy, occupation therapy and speech-language therapy. In the past, and in most schools, parents have to seek help outside the school; this allows children to remain in their comfortable school setting.
Tremendous value is added to the JCC membership with this partnership, including the convenience health, wellness and nutrition services available on-site, as well as a revamped fitness schedule which will offer cutting-edge classes at a variety of times. Classes are being tailored to coincide with children’s programming, so parents can exercise while their child is busy in a class.
