Marcela Gutierrez, Ph.D., has joined the Health Council of South Florida, as Director of the Health Access Initiative for Miami-Dade Health Action Network.Dr. Gutierrez brings over 20 years of experience in evaluation in the fields of human services, education, health and youth development. She has led evaluations for major national foundations, state and local governments, and nonprofits around the country. She has also worked on monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and program planning in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining the Health Council she ran her own consulting firm, Gutierrez Consulting Partnerships, for four years and prior to that she was Program Director at a major consulting firm in Philadelphia, PA. She holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Anthropology and a Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology from the University of South Florida.
