The Martin Health Foundation has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the PNC Foundation to help build Tradition Medical Center in west Port St. Lucie.
 
Tradition Medical Center, a 90-bed hospital scheduled to open January 2014, will feature 14 childbirth suites and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital will include a full-service emergency department, general and vascular surgery, oncology services and more.
 
In recognition of the gift, Martin Health has named a section of the Tradition Medical Center maternal-child department the PNC Well-Baby Nursery.
