Board-certified neurosurgeon Matthew Moore, M.D., joins Marcus Neuroscience Institute, established at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a part of Baptist Health. Dr. Moore specializes in complex neurological issues, such as benign and malignant brain and spine tumors. His expertise also includes treating debilitating neck and lower back pain.

Dr. Moore joins Marcus Neuroscience Institute from Neurological Surgery Associates where he was a partner. He also served as the director of neurosurgery at Holy Cross Hospital and Broward Health North. For 10 years, he worked as a Miami Dolphins team neurosurgeon. Dr. Moore founded the first JACHO Spine Center in South Florida.

Dedicated to providing the best patient outcomes, he is currently working on a medical device for emergency decompressive brain surgery. He is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Society of Brigham Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Moore earned his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine and received the Curran prize for his thesis. He then completed his neurosurgery residency at Brigham & Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, and served as neurosurgery chief resident and Harvey Cushing fellow.
