Broward General Medical Center is pleased to announce the election of Wilfred McKenzie M.D., to Chief of Staff.
Dr. McKenzie is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He has been practicing in Ft. Lauderdale for the past 14 years. Dr. McKenzie is actively involved with teaching medical students and family medicine residents at Broward General Medical Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine affiliated with Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Previous to his election, Dr. McKenzie served on the medical council of Broward General Medical Center as Secretary/Treasurer and most recently, Vice Chief of Staff. Prior to his work at Broward General Medical Center, he was avidly involved with public healthcare in the City of Miami.
Dr. McKenzie received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, New York and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Mercy Catholic Medical Center of Philadelphia, PA.
