At MediXall, we are always looking to form strategic partnerships that offer members of our Provider Network options that help to enhance their practices. That is why MediXall has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Clearlake Financial Corp., a national company specializing in the Healthcare Industry that has a 32-year history of providing financial services to individual physicians, dentists, hospitals, clinics and imaging centers.
Clearlake Financial Corp. is led by Founder and CEO, Ronald Epstein, who founded the company in 1986 as a representative for a health care division of the John Hancock Life Insurance Company, and served as a financial planner for Shearson Hammill & Co. for whom he started a leasing division. He also served as President of ICS-Diversified, Inc., and First United Leasing Company, both of which companies are engaged in the equipment leasing business. With Epstein’s background, Clearlake Financial Corp. can provide MediXall Provider Network members with the best financing products for their specific practices. The wide range of challenging circumstances faced by practitioners in today’s Healthcare Industry demands a broad spectrum of solutions that can be customized for each practice, and Mr. Epstein’s background supports this demand with his ability to use a variety of techniques, including leveraging existing assets for growth, which is key for many members.
The MediXall Team recently sat down with Epstein to learn out more about his background and his business.
Q: What led you to launch Clearlake?
A: After earning my degree in business administration, I became a member of the faculty at University of Miami where I had been teaching financial management and investments for two years. Additionally, I was selling insurance to professionals and saw a need for other financial services.
Q: How is your approach different and effective?
A. We provide all financial services within one company and provide lenders that are interested in healthcare.
Q: When and how did you develop your passion to help providers take control of their finances?
A: I saw a tremendous need to provide financial services to professionals, especially physicians as they are astute in their respective fields but not as much when it comes to financial services.
Q: How does your ongoing relationship with providers play out day-to-day?
A: We maintain continuous contact with our clients, grow our relationships, provide them with the services they need, and suggest alternative solutions that could work in their best interest.
Q: How is business?
A: Business is excellent as healthcare will always be around and is changing daily in relation to reimbursements and technology. The healthcare industry is constantly evolving, and I am seeing more and more providers who are seeking new approaches when it comes to handling their finances.
Q: Describe your operational improvement approach.
A. Clearlake only operates on referrals for leads. We usually get referrals from attorneys, accountants, consultants and vendors.
Q: What is next for you and Clearlake?
A: We would like to develop relationships with vendors who sell equipment because once we complete an equipment lease/finance contract, we are able to provide other financial services such as working capital, debt refinancing, etc. Once we develop these relationships with vendors, we become credible and establish a sense of trust.
