August 17 2020 – For 15 years, the Memorial Healthcare System family has come together to donate, pack and deliver school supplies to children who need it most.  This year MHS and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital employees donated 600 backpacks filled with school supplies to Broward County students- these are front line workers still finding time to help their community.

“Regardless of what’s going on in the world, you want to show up and support your community, providing supplies to the kids that need it,” said Judy Thomas, from Memorial’s Behavioral Health department.  She joined dozens of staff, who were able to safely pack and deliver supplies and backpacks earlier this month to help students prepare for the first day of school.
