Dr. Joshua Saef is an adult congenital cardiologist that joined the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute in September of 2023. Coming from the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed fellowship training in adult congenital heart disease, Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, and Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, he said, “I’ve been hugely impressed with the culture at Memorial. Everyone is approachable and there’s an appropriate level of multi-disciplinary collaboration, with relationships between physicians benefiting patients.”
Dr. Saef works with patients born with cardiac issues of any kind, and also frequently with women whose existing heart issues are exacerbated by pregnancy. “My goal is to utilize my knowledge to protect patients, in many cases sustaining them through adulthood’s challenges, and maximizing the quantity and quality of their lives.
I enjoy getting to know patients over time, understanding their day-to-day life challenges, and being able to help them achieve the best possible outcome.”
