Irving Cypen, Chairman of the Board Emeritus and Honorary President of the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged (MJHHA), announced that the organization has received the Gold Seal Award for Excellence in Long Term Care. This designation recognizes nursing homes that exhibit outstanding care management and quality of life for their residents.

Judge Cypen stated, “The Home received this award, in large part, because of the outstanding work of our staff in providing exceptionally high standards of care to those we serve.” He added that, “We are extremely proud that our organization is one of only thirteen in the entire State to meet these exacting standards, making it a model of excellence for the South Florida community.”

Fred Stock, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the Nursing Home and Hospital, remarked that, “The Gold Seal designation is the result of a concerted effort made by everyone affiliated with our organization to deliver the best possible care, services and programs to our clients.” He also said that, “This award just reinforces a commitment made to the elderly when the Home first opened sixty years ago. We will continue to honor that commitment for many generations to come.”
