The Health Council of South Florida (HCSF) is pleased to announce second year funding from its presenting sponsor, the Health Foundation of South Florida, in the amount of $38,000 for Miami Matters: Measuring what matters in Miami-Dade County. Additional sponsors include, Baptist Health South Florida, Miami-Dade County, and Allegany Franciscan Ministries.

Miami Matters is an innovative web-based platform highlighting quality of life indicators for Miami-Dade County such as health, environment, transportation and more. Utilizing this free resource, concerned residents, decision-makers, and community-based organizations can identify key factors influencing wellness. After a successful launch of the website in May 2010, HCSF looks forward to answering the call for additional features in 2011, such as mapping and legislative tools as well as civic engagement seminars and community trainings. Recently, a Healthy People 2020 national goal tracker was added for enhanced community need analysis and priority setting.
