The Miami VA Healthcare System recently celebrated the grand opening of a new Breast Imaging Center during a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center.
The new center is located in the medical center’s radiology department and will provide comprehensive breast imaging services for women Veterans.Services offered at the new center include digital mammography, stereotactic core breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, fine needle aspirations and cyst aspirations.
“We are committed to providing the best care anywhere for our women Veterans.” said Thomas A. Cappello, Interim Director, Miami VA Healthcare System.
