January 5th 2021  – Michael “Mike” Nordness is Delray Medical Center’s new Chief Administrative Officer as well as the Group Chief Operating Officer for the Palm Beach Health Network.  The Palm Beach Health Network is the largest hospital network in Palm Beach County, and is comprised of Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center and West Boca Medical Center.  In his role, Nordness will oversee the growth, development and hospital operations for Delray Medical Center and coordinate operational logistics within the Palm Beach Health Network.

Prior to joining the team at Delray Medical, Nordness served as the Chief Operating Officer at Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.  While there, Nordness led efforts on renovation projects, surgical and procedural services through service line development and physician recruitment, and helped improve operations throughout the hospital. 
 
Before his time in Jacksonville, Nordness was the Assistant Administrator at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, North Carolina.  There, Nordness focused his efforts on throughput, operations, labor management and productivity.  He then became the Chief Operating Officer at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, North Carolina. During his time there, Nordness successfully launched an interventional cardiology program, led the facility through a number of development projects, and recruited physicians for key service lines.  
 
Nordness is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a undergraduate degree in education.  He went on to receive his Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with an emphasis in health education.  Nordness then earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
