Mark H. Hildebrandt, a prominent local attorney and philanthropist, has been elected as the Chairman of the Executive Board of Trustees at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, the largest private, independent not-for-profit teaching hospital in South Florida, and one of the premier medical centers in the nation.
 
Throughout the years, Hildebrandt has been an ardent supporter of Mount Sinai, having served as Vice Chairman of the Board for the past seven years, and President of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation from 2007-2011.
 
“I believe in Mount Sinai’s mission to provide access to high-quality healthcare to the community. In fact, four generations of my family have supported Mount Sinai – my parents created a legacy of giving to the medical center, and my wife and I, my daughters, and now my grandchild, have proudly continued that tradition,” said Hildebrandt. “My personal mission is to serve the community, and I’m honored to accept this opportunity to continue to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents.”
 
Wayne E. Chaplin, the immediate past chairman, praised Hildebrandt’s commitment. “Mark’s leadership and passion for the healthcare needs of our community reflect the mission of Mount Sinai, and his longstanding involvement in our efforts has been exemplary,” said Chaplin.
 
Hildebrandt is currently a partner with the law firm of Waldman Trigoboff Hildebrandt & Calnan, P.A., having practiced law for 35 years, specializing in corporate law, business law, and litigation. Hildebrandt is president and owner of his own firm, Mark Hildebrandt, P.A., founded in 1986, and prior to that, served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office for the Hon. Janet Reno. Hildebrandt also currently serves on the Board of Directors for HEICO. 
 
Hildebrandt earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables and was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Mock Trial Team. He has admissions to the Florida Bar Association, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida Trial Bar, U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida, U.S. Court of Appeals 11th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
 
As one of the area’s most distinguished attorneys, Hildebrandt is a member of numerous associations, including the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He has also served on the Finance and Trustee Service committees at Mount Sinai.
 
An involved member of the South Florida community, Hildebrandt, along with his wife, Jo Ann, has generously donated to, and participated in, numerous charitable events. 
 
The civic-minded Hildebrandt, who was recognized by the Ronald McDonald House as “One of Twelve Good Men of Miami,” has been a dedicated public servant and is very active and influential in city affairs. From 1993 to 1997, he served as Chairman of the Charter Review Board and Chairman of the Code Enforcement Board for the City of North Miami, and from 1994 to 2000, Hildebrandt served the City of Miami Beach as a member of the Health Advisory Committee. In subsequent years, he was named to the Committee on Homeless and the Preservation Board.
