Mount Sinai Medical Center welcomes Dr. Kfir Ben-David, its new vice chair of Department of Surgery and chief of the Gastroesophageal Division.Dr. Ben-David earned his medical degree in 2001 at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency in 2006 at the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Surgery, where he was also chief resident. Dr. Ben-David also completed a minimally invasive advanced gastrointestinal surgery fellowship in 2007 at Duke University in North Carolina.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Ben-David was a respected member of the faculty at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he was a tenured associate professor of surgery. He also served as chief of the minimally invasive gastroesophageal and bariatric service and director of the minimally invasive surgery fellowship and general surgery residency programs.
