September 29, 2022  Board-certified hematologic oncologist Nadia Bambace, M.D., joins Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health. She is an expert in acute leukemia treatment and specializes in the application of autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation for a vast array of hematologic malignancies.

Dr. Bambace is passionate about empowering patients with the necessary information to share in the decision-making process as well as training the next generation of future physician leaders.

Before joining Miami Cancer Institute, Dr. Bambace was an attending hematologist at the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont in Montreal, Quebec, since 2014 where she also held the title of associate professor of medicine and associate hematology fellowship program director at the Université de Montréal.

Dr. Bambace has served on numerous advisory committees and boards in Canada. She held leadership positions in drug and practice regulation at both the provincial and national levels and notably participated in the task force that established the accreditation criteria for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.

She is a member of the American Heart Association, American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation.

After earning her medical degree from the Université de Montréal Medical School, Dr. Bambace completed her internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Vermont. Dedicated to continual training, she completed her bone marrow transplantation fellowship at the Université de Montréal Medical School.
