Tenet Florida Physician Services is pleased to announce Lauren F. Schwartz, M.D., FAANS, FACS, an experienced and highly skilled adult and pediatric neurosurgeon, has opened an office with the Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute (PBNI). Dr. Schwartz is one of the few neurosurgeons in the country who specializes in both adult and pediatric neurosurgery.

Dr. Schwartz earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia PA. She completed her Internship in General Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. She completed her neurosurgical residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, with senior and chief residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University/Montefiore Medical Center, in the Bronx, NY. She completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, and an additional fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery with a focus on pediatric and adult neuro-oncology at The Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY. She has additional fellowship training in Cerebrovascular Surgery from the University of Texas-Southwestern in Dallas, TX.
 
Dr. Schwartz has held faculty appointments at two universities as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Chief Section of Cerebrovascular Surgery, at Drexel University’s College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and as Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, MA. She presently holds a faculty appointment as an affiliate Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Robert Larner M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
