May 4, 2022 –  The Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation (Levan Center), a new industry magnet for talent and innovation in technology, announced today its newest member, WITHmyDOC, a healthcare technology company based in Fort Lauderdale. WITHmyDOC offers patients living with chronic diseases a cutting-edge, remote monitoring technology that captures real-time data about their symptoms and disease progression.

Jorge Rodriguez, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at WITHmyDOC; and John Wensveen, Chief Innovation Officer at Nova Southeastern University and Executive Director of the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation

Through this collaboration, advanced technology such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, will be used to create patient monitoring devices for patients living with autoimmune diseases. According to Richard Rodriguez, WITHmyDOC’s founder and CEO, the collaboration remains in its infancy stage, but the vision includes creating technology that provides a monitoring tool while measuring critical symptoms and trigger points for this group of patients.

“Our goal is to create software that can measure a wide range of factors that could contribute to disease progression, such as moods measured by facial recognition, circadian rhythms, fasting schedules, even air quality. Working within this exciting innovation hub and with such a global leader in advanced healthcare technology as NSU, we will be able to work with the best in the field to create advancements to help patients better manage their autoimmune disease,” Rodriguez said. “We are honored to be working with such a forward-thinking institution that understands the opportunities in remote patient management systems.”

John Wensveen, Chief Innovation Officer at Nova Southeastern University, Inc. and Executive Director of the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, added, “South Florida is the hottest region in the nation for startup companies and MedTech is one of the driving forces.
