Martha C. Garcia, R.N., M.B.A., M.S.N., has been named senior vice president of Jackson Health System and chief administrative officer of Jackson South Community Hospital. Garcia comes to Jackson from Kendall Regional Hospital, where she was the chief operating officer. She formerly led both Memorial Hospital Pembroke and Coral Gables Hospital as the chief executive officer.
Jackson Health System welcomes Alex E. Contreras-Soto as senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Jackson Memorial Hospital. Contreras-Soto previously served as chief executive officer of Spring Hill Regional Hospital in Spring Hill, FL. He also worked as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Palmetto General Hospital, as well as the chief financial officer of Coral Gables Hospital.
Nathan Ray joins Jackson Health System as its corporate director of governmental relations. Ray previously worked as the director of legislative affairs and public information for the Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program. He has also served as a legislative analyst in the Florida Senate for the Committee on Children, Families and Elder Affairs; as a government policy consultant for the Florida Office of Early Learning and as a personal aide to Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher.
Matthew Pinzur joins Jackson Health System as its corporate director of external affairs. He was previously a special assistant to the Miami-Dade county manager. Before entering government, he spent 10 years as a newspaper reporter, primarily with The Miami Herald.
Jackson Health System welcomes Gino R. Santorio, M.P.A., as its corporate director of project management. Santorio comes to Jackson from Spring Hill Regional Hospital, Spring Hill, FL, where he served as the chief operating officer, the chief financial officer and the hospital compliance officer. Prior to that, he worked as the assistant chief financial officer at Brooksville Regional Hospital in Brooksville, FL.
