Two colleges at Nova Southeastern University’s Health Professions Division have structured a curriculum that provides students with an opportunity to receive concurrent degrees.

The College of Health Care Sciences’ Master of Medical Science (M.M.S.) in Physician Assistant Studies and the College of Medicine’s Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) is symbiotic with the missions of both schools.

Graduates of the program will be prepared to use a totally holistic approach to health care that will address preventive medicine, share a common mission to provide access to those in need of basic health care, serve as leaders in the transformation of the health care system, and meet the needs of rural and underserved populations. This project is supported by a Health Resources and Services Administration grant in which Cyril Blavo, D.O., M.P.H. and T.M., FACOP, director of the college’s M.P.H. Program, is the principal investigator.
