Much more than just contractors, the Nexus team is a seasoned group of professionals with experience on every level of the building business. We understand that everything must come together in order to create a successful project – location, design, the mix of tenants, the quality of management and maintenance.

Our properties are intelligently developed to answer the needs of our clients. The Nexus team brings over a century of combined experience to every structure we design, build or renovate. We have a reputation for being meticulous, for thinking of every detail from the planning stage onward.

Nexus Properties is known for its many commercial achievements and satisfied customers in New Jersey. Nexus now brings that same level of experience, success, and commitment to excellence to the Eastern Florida region.

Over the past 30 years, Nexus Properties has developed a unique understanding of the building needs of health care providers. We have been chosen time and again to develop and manage space for health care providers, professionals and health-related services. Our many commercial ventures have included several health care projects which range from hospital construction to specialized treatment facilities efficiently built and within budget guidelines.

When providers work with Nexus, they have a choice of development options: contractual work, build-to-suit, joint participation, master leases, sale/lease back, bid and spec work, leasing and property management. Health care providers and services have property needs that are distinctly different and Nexus has developed a reputation for answering those needs. Each health care property developed is thru a team partnership with special requirements that health services demand.

In the late 1970’s, the Sussman family began to purchase certain industrial and commercial sites in Trenton, New Jersey which once were occupied by factories and warehouses that had since been idled. The original focus of the organization was to rebuild and upgrade these inner-city sites to present day standards, thereby improving the surrounding neighborhoods. After several years of providing rehabilitation to these sites, the organization found that gentrification could be hastened with new construction.

Today, through various partnerships, the Sussman family owns and manages over 2 million square feet of commercial, office and warehouse space in South Jersey. After many years of developing premier office properties, in 1994 Nexus opened its first residential community. The success was followed by an intimate enclave of estate homes, a new shore community, an active-adult community, and most recently a townhome residential community seamlessly incorporated into the historic Mill Hill section of Mercer County, New Jersey.
