March 10, 2020 – Nicklaus Children’s Health System recently announced that its multispecialty group practice has been renamed Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS). Established in January 2015 as Pediatric Specialists of America, NCPS is a physician-dedicated, multi-specialty pediatric group with a regional, national and international presence in providing pediatric-centric care through a collaborative team approach, excellence in clinical care, education and research.

“Adopting the Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists name will better align our physicians and other providers with the branding and visual identity of the health system and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital,” said NCPS Board Chair Alex Soto. “This rebranding is a great advancement in helping families more easily recognize providers that are part of Nicklaus Children’s Health System as we continue focusing on our patients-and-families-first philosophy.”

The rebranding to Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists will involve a phased rollout of branding changes that will impact signage, patient communications, billing, marketing and other materials. The process is expected to be completed in mid-2020.  The rebranded enterprise strives to enhance patient access to the highly sought after care provided by its physicians, while advancing research and medical excellence in all aspects of the group practice.

The rebranding is made possible through generous funding from the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and continued support from its founders, golf icon Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara. It follows the hospital’s 2015 name change to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and the 2017 transition of the health system and foundation to Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation, respectively.

Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists employs more than 250 board-certified physicians, many of whom are routinely included on the America’s Best Doctors list. Consultations are offered in 21 pediatric specialties and subspecialties, including: Adolescent Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology & Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Genetics and Metabolic Disorders, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology (ENT), Orthopedics and Spine Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Psychiatry, Psychology, Rheumatology, Radiology and Sports Medicine.
