Two North Shore Medical Center officials have been named finalists for the South Florida Business Journals “2007 Excellence in Health Care Awards.”
 North Shore CEO Manny Linares is a finalist in the “Best Health Care CEO of the Year” category and Jamie Lozano, M.D., is finalist for “Physician of the Year.”
Since being appointed CEO approximately two years ago, Linares has directed that more than $20 million be used to purchase new equipment and upgrade existing services in the 357-bed facility. |
 Dr. Lozano serves as medical director of North Shores C. Gordon Griffith Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition to this recent honor, earlier this year he was named the hospitals “2007 Physician of the Year” for his efforts to inspire his colleagues, treat his patients with the highest level of care and develop a program with the hospitals Cancer Committee to provide free monthly screenings to area residents to identify more cancers in their early stages. |
