The Institute for Safe Medication (ISMP) recently announced the selection of HCA, Northwest Medical Centers parent company, as one of the recipients of their Ninth Annual Cheers Awards.
The prestigious Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) Cheers Awards honor individuals, organizations, companies, and agencies that have, through their actions during the previous year, set an unmatched standard of excellence for others to follow in the prevention of medication errors and other adverse events. The ISMP is honoring HCA for our outstanding work in the area of medication safety. ISMP recognized HCA as an industry leader in implementation and process improvement related to bedside bar coding medication solutions. Additionally, HCA was recognized for our company’s national stand with the FDA and partnering vendors to improve the tools caregivers utilize in the process of medication administration.
