Sarah Maywald began her nursing career in hospice as a student nurse and later gained clinical experience in neurorestorative care and rehabilitation. She joined VITAS in 2023 and serves patients nearing the end of life in their homes, assisted living facilities, and inpatient units. Sarah’s versatility enables her to adapt to many environments. She also worked previously as a home health aide and CNA.
Sarah believes in lifelong learning and holds a BSN from Resurrection University in Chicago, IL, and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from DePaul University, also in Chicago.
