The Nursing Consortium of South Florida is pleased to announce the election of five nursing profession leaders to their Board of Directors, to serve a term of two years  The Consortium is a non-profit corporation with more than 60 member organizations including accredited schools of nursing, hospitals and other providers of nursing services. The new Board members are:
 
W. Jason Dunne, DNP, MN, RN, CNE
Dr. Dunne is Campus President of Chamberlain University in Miramar, FL.  He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University, Aurora, CO. Dr. Dunne resides in Fort Lauderdale.
 
Alberto García, MS, RN, NE-BC
Mr. Garcia is Chief Nursing Officer at Memorial Hospital Miramar. He has a Master of Science in Nursing and Health Systems Leadership from the University of California – San Francisco, CA.  Mr. Garcia lives in Miami Shores, FL.
 
Safiya George Dalmida, PhD APRN-BC, FAANP
Dr. Dalmida is Dean and Professor of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University. She holds a PhD in Nursing Research from Emory University; Postdoctoral Fellowship in Religion and Health from Duke University; and Post-Master’s Teaching Certificate in Education from Emory University. She is the author of numerous professional journals on nursing leadership and the health field.
 
Katty Guevara, DNP, APRN-BC, MBA, BSN 
Dr. Guevara is the APRN Supervisor at Doctors Hospital, Coral Gables FL. She has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Nova Southeastern University, and lives in Miami.
 
Joanne Masella, EdD, MSN, RN
Dr. Masella is Assistant Dean, Community Engagement and Integration, and Associate Professor of Nursing at the Palm Beach Gardens campus of the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing at Nova Southeastern University.  She holds an EdD from Nova Southeastern University, with a specialization in Health Care Education.
