Oakwood Center of the Palm Beaches, Inc. is proud to announce that Barbara E. Golden, Ph.D., is the recipient of this years 2008 Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches Healthcare Heroes Award.
Dr. Golden defines not only a Healthcare Hero, but so much more. She devotes her personal and professional life promoting the well being of individuals, which translates into the well being of the community. She has been instrumental in raising money for renovations of the Center, as well as implementing a program in which clients learn from volunteer teaching artists entitled “Art at Oakwood.” As a current member of the board of directors for Oakwood Center of the Palm Beaches, Dr. Golden exemplifies Oakwoods mission to help clients build resiliency, facilitate recovery and achieve reintegration into the community.
