Palm Beach Children’s Hospital announced that Jane Miller, a child life program manager, has been inducted into the Tenet Heroes Hall of Fame, Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s highest honor for employees.

Miller’s commitment to excellent patient care and developing innovative programs is shown in many ways. She helps her young patients feel more empowered to tackle their illnesses. She developed a number of creative programs such as “Super Serum,” which helps change the perception of chemotherapy and other IV medications by using a super-hero themed activity. Miller wrote “Super Hero Kid,” a comic book featuring a young child fighting a slime monster. When he tires, he needs to recharge by taking his Super Serum. Each patient receives their own Super Serum box that includes a super hero logo that covers and transforms IV medication bags into the Super Serum. Children also receive a Super Cape, Super Sack and a copy of the comic book.
