Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Recognizes Quarterly Physician, Employee and Daisy Award Winners

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center recently held its quarterly awards highlighting those who go above and beyond for patients in the hospital. Infection Control Manager Fran O’Hara accepted the award for Employee of the Quarter. Over the past several month’s, O’Hara has implanted strict guidelines and safety policies for infection control throughout the COVID pandemic. Dr. Leslie Diaz earned the Physician of the Quarter. As the medical director of infectious disease, Dr. Diaz is described by the staff as a leader in the hospital who has a pulse on the best course of action to treat patients. Heather Astacio, RN, received the DAISY Award, which recognizes extraordinary nurses. Astacio, has an infectious enthusiasm and energy towards meeting new challenges.
