Palmetto General Hospital names Dr. Cristina Mata, endocrinologist, as its new chief medical officer. She has five years of experience in serving as CMO at various medical institutions.
Dr. Mata earned her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from University of Miami, where she graduated with honors. Additionally, she earned her medical degree from University of Miami and completed her residency in internal medicine and endocrinology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
Along with being board certified in endocrinology, Dr. Mata holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Healthcare Administration from the University of Miami Business School.
