Palmetto General Hospital recently unveiled its new Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU). More than 300 guests, including the mayors of Hialeah and Hialeah Gardens, attended the event, which offered guided tours of the unit. A dedicated NCCU is proven to impact quality outcomes and is necessary to support the hospital’s neuroscience program, which includes a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Epilepsy Program. Additionally, the unit allows critically ill patients to have access to a specialized intensive care team.
