Jason L. Kimbrell to serve as new Chief Executive Officer for comprehensive medical facility 
with full-service children’s hospital  
 
July 13, 2021  – Palms West Hospital an industry leading, acute care hospital that has been providing healthcare excellence to the Palm Beach County community for more than 35 years, is proud to announce that Jason L. Kimbrell will serve as Chief Executive Officer. Palms West Hospital offers a wide range of specialty services, including a dedicated pediatric emergency department and full-service children’s hospital. Located on a spacious 94-acre campus, the 204-bed facility offers top-quality care for a full complement of healthcare services.
 
Kimbrell, who has been serving as interim CEO for the past three months, will be responsible for guiding Palms West Hospital’s development and operations. He will also lead the successful growth of key service lines including pediatrics, women’s care, Level II NICU, orthopedics, cardiology, robotics and general surgery.

As a 17-year healthcare veteran, Kimbrell most recently served as CEO of Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Florida, where he led his team through the hospital’s acquisition by HCA Healthcare in 2017. Under Kimbrell’s leadership, he successfully launched the facility’s first Orthopedic and Spine Institute, implemented advanced robotics, and significantly improved financial performance.

Kimbrell began his career with HCA Healthcare as an Assistant Administrator for West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, a 515-bed hospital, where he was involved in strategic planning, launched a robotics steering committee and was instrumental in the execution of the hospital’s key strategic initiatives. Kimbrell also previously served as Vice President of Operations for Lifeguard Transportation Services, a national healthcare logistics firm based out of Birmingham, Alabama.
 
Kimbrell’s passion for delivering the best possible patient experiences and outcomes stems from his experience as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic for Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, a Level II trauma center. Kimbrell is an established professional who served four years with the United States Air Force as a Rescue Fire Fighter and Crew Chief. During his military career, Kimbrell was deployed to Kuwait. 
 
Kimbrell earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of West Florida and his Master of Science in Healthcare Management from Troy University. He is a current doctoral candidate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for Health Service Administration.
