August 2, 2022 – This past weekend, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital patients and their guests enjoyed a fun evening free of worry from their medical conditions as they danced the night away at the 7th Annual Carlin Family Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Prom thanks to the generosity of Adam and Chanin Carlin.

The prom experience included beautiful dresses and stylish suits for patients, as well as hair and make-up sessions with professional stylists. Parents also enjoyed a special night of their own at a reception where they were able to watch the festivities via live stream. Volunteers, including nurses, social workers and Child Life Specialists were on site to support as needed.

“Seeing the happiness and excitement on these patients’ faces was priceless,” said Adam Carlin. “Knowing that they were able to forget about their illnesses and treatments as they enjoyed the night was truly magical. We are so happy to play a role in creating memories for the patients at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and to celebrate with them an unforgettable night.”

Nicklaus Children’s has the longest-standing prom at a children’s hospital in South Florida. Since 2014, the Carlin family’s vision and generosity has brought the mission of giving these young patients a night they would otherwise not be able to experience due to their medical conditions. Since then, many local sponsors and vendors have taken on the mission of giving these young patients a prom night they deserve and will cherish forever.

This year’s prom was made possible thanks to the support of B Rose, Balloons by Luz Paz, Drama Hair and Nail Salon, CVS Pharmacy y Más, Navarro Discount Pharmacy, Emagine Creations, Jaxson Maximus, Kendra Scott, Little Acts of Love, The Mas Family, Meraki Wellness Healing, Perry Ellis International, Prospyr, Recrea USA, The Therapy Dogs by Alexandra Ramos, Synergy Diagnostic Laboratory, Soulmates Collection and WOW MKTG.
