The Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) recently honored Peter Jude, Community Relations Director of Kendall Regional Medical Center with the 2005 Community Hero Award.
“Peter Jude is always there when you need him and he always goes above and beyond the call of duty,” says Lourdes Garrido, Vice President of Public Affairs at HCA. “He is truly an exemplary member of the HCA family.”
Jude is the heart and soul of the Miami-Dade HCA Corporate Run. He spends many personal hours organizing the event and strives to make the Run meaningful for everyone. Proceeds for the 2005 HCA Corporate Run will go to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Peter was also instrumental in getting Kendall Regionals Habitat for Humanity house organized and built. Community-wide, Jude is active with the Boy Scouts and is involved with KAPOW (Kids and the Power of Work), an organization that introduces elementary-aged children to the work environment. He is also involved with his churchs youth group, acting as a positive role model for the young parishioners. All this while being a great husband and father.
