Anthony Miniaci, M.D., is deputy chief medical executive for Baptist Health Orthopedic Care and specializes in sports medicine, shoulder and knee surgery. Dr. Miniaci comes to Baptist Health by way of the Cleveland Clinic where he served as head of the sports medicine program, and professor at Case Western University Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine where he oversaw the building of a freestanding sports medicine center and was head team physician for the Cleveland Browns. He has produced internationally recognized scientific papers, patents and presentations with a vast career in orthopedic research and development. He was also a professor of surgery and head of sports medicine at the University of Toronto caring for athletes, including Olympians, members of the Toronto Blue Jays and players in the National Hockey League. Dr. Miniaci is based at the new Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion on the campus of Boca Raton Regional Hospital and calls the new patient-centric facility “the new hub for Baptist Health Orthopedic Care” in Palm Beach County. He notes this location as a key component of the integration of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care across South Florida.
