Frank Nask, President/CEO of Broward Health, announced to the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners that he will be retiring from the position as of the completion of his contract on March 31, 2015. Nask was named President/CEO in 2008.Nask came to Broward Health in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and was named President/CEO in 2008. Nask managed the system during a difficult economic time and was able to grow the system financially and avoid a workforce reduction. During his tenure, he was instrumental in developing major projects and programs such as the expansion of the graduate medical education program to more than 100 residents. Nask also led efforts for major construction projects at several Broward Health facilities including Broward Health North and the children’s hospital at Broward Health Medical Center. He focused on bringing essential technology to Broward Health such as the electronic medical records system and three da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems for minimally-invasive surgery. He was also instrumental in the redevelopment of the Broward Health Foundation which recently announced a $10 million challenge grant for the modernization of the children’s hospital.
