Public Health Trust Confirms New Officers

At the March 2009 Public Health Trust Board of Trustees meeting, outgoing chairman Ernesto de la Fé handed over the gavel to the newly confirmed chairman, John H. Copeland III. Mr. de la Fé, who will continue serving as a member of the board, was recognized for his leadership in proclamations from Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami. The other new officers are Angel Medina Jr. as vice chairman, Georgena D. Ford, R.N., as secretary and Marcos Lapciuc as treasurer. The Public Health Trust governs Jackson Health System.

John H. Copeland III has more than 20 years of experience as investor, manager and consultant. He is currently managing director of the Copeland Companies. Prior to taking over his family’s business, Copeland spent a decade with McKinsey & Company.
