Mehdi Bouslama, M.D., MSc, is a neuroendovascular surgeon and vascular neurologist with the Broward Health Physician Group.

Initially inspired by neurosurgery, his path shifted after discovering neuroendovascular surgery—a field that blends clinical medicine, advanced imaging, and minimally invasive intervention.

“Working within millimeters of structures that govern thought, movement and life itself was not something I could walk away from,” said Dr. Bouslama.

At Broward Health, he has focused on building a comprehensive cerebrovascular program, introducing advanced procedures, pioneering the use of the Roadsaver carotid stent in Florida and integrating AI-driven technologies to enhance patient care.

“Every patient who walks—or is carried—through our doors is facing one of the most frightening moments of their life. What keeps me going is knowing our work gives people a second chance,” he said.

Dr. Bouslama completed medical school in Tunisia, followed by advanced training at Emory University and fellowships at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and University at Buffalo.
