The South Florida Regional Extension Center (SFREC) has added health information technology veteran James (Sandy) Phillips as Health Information Exchange (HIE) Consultant. Phillips has 28 years experience in health information technology and computer systems. He was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Jackson Health System from 2003-05. He is also a retired U.S. Navy veteran and served on Florida’s Governor’s Health Information Infrastructure Advisory Board (GHIIAB).
