The South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners that oversees all actions of Memorial Healthcare System elected its officers at the July board meeting. Hobel Florido was elected Chairman, Jose Basulto was elected Vice Chairman and Laura Raybin Miller was elected Secretary/Treasurer. The board members serving alongside the officers are Alfredo Avalos, Kathleen A. Durham, Albert C. Jones and Sara E. Wolfer.
 
Florido was appointed to the South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners in 2010. He is a partner in the law firm, Florido & Florido, P.A., in Miami Lakes.
 
Basulto, president of BMC, was appointed to the South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners in 2010.
 
Raybin Miller was appointed to the South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners in 2000. She is currently a financial advisor and financial planning specialist with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Aventura, Florida.
