To better serve our patients in the community with a broader range of services, St. Lucie Medical Center plans to close its 22-bed behavioral health unit effective November 8, 2020. Lawnwood Regional Medical Center will serve as HCA East Florida Division’s exclusive behavioral health facility in the Treasure Coast. This change will allow patients to receive additional specialized behavioral health care in a nearby, single location at our sister facility in Fort Pierce. Currently, more than half of the daily behavioral health patients treated at St. Lucie are transferred from Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
