St. Marys Medical Center has named Angela Prestia Director, Clinical Quality Improvement, of the 460-bed acute care facility as well as Nicklaus Childrens Hospital.
Prestia has more than 25 years of experience in health care administration and nursing in South Florida. Most recently, she was a nurse consultant at Indian River Memorial Hospital. Prior to that, Prestia served as chief nursing officer (CNO) at Jupiter Medical Center from 1999 to 2006l.
Prestia also served as an adjunct faculty member at Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce from 1994 through 1999, and was executive director of Patient Care Services and director of Womens and Childrens Services at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Ft. Pierce from 1987 to 1989.
