The Institute for Professional Studies (IPS) at St. Thomas University (STU) has started a new Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Health Records and Information Management (HRIM) program.
 
The current trend simply indicates that there is a new demand for professionals with skills in health care information services to implement Electronic Health Records systems in health care organizations. Related departments and private agencies seek administrators and supervisors with those skills and who can demonstrate wide-ranging knowledge necessary to manage complex and crucial challenges in an electronic age.
 
The BA in Health Records and Information Management was designed for healthcare administrators, persons who manage career and volunteer in healthcare organizations, practicing healthcare service and related professionals engaged in health records and information services to meet current need of healthcare services industry.
 
Students currently employed in the health services industries mentioned above will be able to utilize this program to migrate from the clinical side of the health service industry to the administrative, business or leadership side.
 
Students recruited for this program will already be professionally trained by their employers or designated State Agencies for clinical services. The recruited students do not now hold the minimum of the Bachelors degree and most have no administrative and electronic records training.
 
A BA in Health Records and Information Management will give you a distinct advantage in the competitive and rewarding healthcare field.
