Steven P. Rosenberg, M.D., a Board Certified Dermatologist practicing in West Palm Beach since 1980, has been appointed to the Board of Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg said ” I am grateful that Governor Bush has appointed me to the Board of Medicine and I am honored to serve Floridians in this capacity.” Steven Rosenberg, M.D. is President of Palm Beach Dermatology, Inc. He obtained his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1975 and trained in Internal Medicine in Los Angeles at UCLA-Harbor General Hospital and at Montefiore Hospital in New York. He completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami and was Chief Resident in 1979. He has been Chief of Dermatology at St. Mary’s/ Good Samaritan Hospitals.
Dr. Rosenberg has also been president of the Palm Beach County Dermatology Society and President of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Currently he also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Palm Beach County Medical Society, The Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery as well as the Richard David Kahn Melanoma Foundation. Dr. Rosenberg has chaired the Florida Society of Dermatology’s Legislative Committee for the past 12 years. In 1995 Governor Chiles appointed Dr. Rosenberg to the Governor’s Physician Advisory Input Panel on Health Care Issues and in 1997 the Governor appointed him to the State of Florida’s Advisory Panel on Health Care. Awards include Practitioner of the Year from the Florida Society of Dermatology 1993-1994 and the Distinguished Service Award in 1997. Recently he coordinated the passage of a bill requiring greater physician supervision of satellite medical clinics, offices and medical spas. Dr. Rosenberg received the Political Leadership Award from Florida Medical Business in 1998.
