Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., has been contracted to remodel Jupiter Medical Center’s Hyperbaric Chamber Medical Office.

The $136,000 project consists of the renovation of approximately 1,220 square feet of an existing medical office, installation of two new hyperbaric chambers, and the fitting of an oxygen tank farm to supply the hyperbaric chambers.

The most significant challenge on this project will be hoisting the two 10-foot long and 4-foot high 2,000 pound chambers by crane through a hole, cut purposely for installation of the medical equipment, in the wall of the hospital’s second floor. All work will be closely coordinated and performed while the medical center remains fully operational and occupied.
