Ira Fox, MD, DABPM, FIPP, ABIPP, founder of Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in Tamarac, is the new President Elect of the World Society of Pain Clinicians (WSPC). Dr. Fox will hold this position for two years before he embarks on a two-year term as President of WSPC in 2014. Dr. Fox will then serve as the organization’s Immediate Past-President from 2016 until 2018.Dr. Fox has spent more than two decades treating patients with acute and chronic pain. He maintains board certifications with the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians; World Institute of Pain – Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice; American Board of Pain Medicine; and the American Board of Anesthesiology with added certification in Pain Management. Additionally, he serves as an examiner for the FIPP Board Certification and is the Chairman of the Advisory Board for the World Institute of Pain Executive Board.
