Meet Our FIME 2022 Exhibitors

Adaptive Creations Group, Inc. has developed the first practical solution to stop spills, injury and clean up challenges for healthcare workers and family members of people with disabilities. No longer will holding drinks for the patient be the only alternative. Now the drinks will be perfectly positioned so that the patient can drink using a standard straw taking the hands “out of the equation.”

The founder of Adaptive Creations Group, Inc., Steven White, is the inventor of this new patent pending adaptive device. The need for a new solution became clear when Steven’s 90-year-old father dropped his coffee mug at the dining room table due to his uncontrollable Parkinson’s Disease tremors. The coffee mug shattered spilling hot coffee on himself, the table and the floor.

Called the ACG Hands-Free Support System for the Disabled and Others, this unique product can securely attach to wheelchairs, IV poles, hospital beds, food trays, tables and chairs. It can not only hold drinks, but also snacks, electronic devices and books.

The range of disabilities that will benefit from the Hands-Free System includes a wide range of neuromuscular diseases such a Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis and many others. Other conditions that prevent safely holding drinks and other objects include stroke, brain injuries, paralysis, burns, amputations, orthopedic injuries and visual impairments.

There are five articulated points of adjustment that can accommodate patients of all sizes from children to tall adults. A reducer will accommodate smaller drinks on the support arm.

Attachments will allow cellphones, computer tablets/notebooks, and books to be available without the need to hold these devices so patients can stay in touch with family members and avoid boredom and depression while still staying hydrated.

The device also has been well received by other users whose hands are busy or dirty, such as gamers, artists, cooks, musicians, industrial workers, students, computer users, 911 dispatchers and many others.

Adaptive Creations Group, Inc. will be presenting the Hands-Free System at the upcoming Florida International Medical Equipment Show (FIME) at the Miami Beach Convention Center. For more information, contact Steven White, President, 941-870-4722, or email swhite@AdaptiveCreationsGroup.com
