The Latin Builders Association® (LBA) recently installed Guillermo Fernandez, President of Link Construction Group, Inc., as their 21st President.Guillermo “Willy” Fernandez is a Miami native. He graduated Belen Jesuit High School and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University. Fernandez is also a State of Florida Certified Licensed General Contractor.
Fernandez strongly believes in giving back to the community. In 2011, Fernandez took on a pro bono project with International Solidarity for Human Rights in collaboration with Miami Dade College North Campus. The project, Route to Human Rights Plazas, unveiled a series of 10 sculptures called NINOS that promotes the education of human rights through the arts.
In 2012, Fernandez along with Link Construction employees participated in Habitat for Humanity’s Blitz Build, a two-week, ten -home accelerated building event in Liberty City. Fernandez has also been involved with the American Heart Association, and Kristi’s House.
