For over 35 years Catholic Hospice has been serving South Florida. Since 2003, the L’Chaim spiritual enhancement program has provided pain management with comforting amenities to Jewish families in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Catholic Hospice understands how important it is to maintain the traditions of the Jewish community with Rabbis on hand and expertly trained medical staff. L’Chaim provides 24-hour access to pain control, comfort care, symptom management, spiritual counselors, and other personal attention.
At L’Chaim, the day-to-day goal is to provide care and services to patients of all ages who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and ease them into this transition in life’s journey. The L’Chaim spiritual enrichment hospice program accepts patients of all ages and accepts most insurance plans.
As a Jewish program, L’Chaim creates a culturally welcoming and spiritually uplifting environment for Jewish patients and families. All staff receive training in Jewish traditions from our Rabbis. The team has extensive experience and education in meeting the spiritual and/or religious needs of the Jewish community. Rabbis are available to counsel patients and their families, provide spiritual support, prayers of healing and music as part of the L’Chaim experience. The L’Chaim spiritual enrichment hospice program is endorsed by the National Institute for Jewish Hospice (NIJH).
